We’ll be spinning around where the wild roses grow at the 2018 winter edition of Tribute Night as we pay homage to the people’s pop princess, Kylie Minogue. Kylie’s singing career has its roots in the songbook of another recent Tribute Night artist, with an impromptu Neighbours cast performance of Carole King’s The Loco-motion during a charity event in 1987. This led to an Australian single release of the same song, bringing her to the attention of PWL Records in the UK and a prolific partnership with the omnipresent production team Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Kylie opted to step off the SAW conveyor belt in the early ’90s, and after a somewhat uneven period she re-emerged at the dawn of the 21st century with a shiny new sound, that firmly established Kylie as the people’s pop princess.
